Tixigo Inc. ("we") is committed to respecting your privacy in the reservation or purchase of tickets or other goods through its online ticketing.

Tixigo is an online booking and buying service offered to merchants with whom you trade. A merchant may use Tixigo to manage their bookings and purchases by other means such as phone, email or in person at the counter.


Purpose of the Policy


This Privacy Policy (hereinafter, the "Policy") is intended to inform you of the manner and purposes for which Tixigo collects, uses and discloses your personal information, the choices you have in this regard and the manner in which to access and correct them if necessary.


Restrictions


The Policy does not bind the merchant who uses Tixigo. You must therefore check the merchant's privacy policy in order to understand your coverage in terms of confidentiality.


Note that the merchant uses Tixigo to manage all their bookings and possibly product sales. The merchant may use Tixigo's online payment or its own card processing terminal to make your payment. The use of Tixigo by the merchant on your behalf remains subject to the Policy, but Tixigo is not responsible for the merchant's use and disclosure of the information and can not be held responsible for the policies, procedures and practices of Tixigo, the latter in matters of protection of personal information. Payment information is particularly important and disclosing it to a merchant implies a risk that he must be able to control it well. Make sure the merchant has a privacy policy.


Our Engagements

We have in place internal procedures to adequately protect the personal information in our possession and we review it on a regular basis;

We educate our employees about the importance of protecting personal information and provide training on it;

We take reasonable steps to ensure that the agents, partners, representatives, and other external organizations with whom Tixigo deals with comply with this Policy (for example, merchants who use Tixigo's ticketing, payment processors, processing and cloud data storage, etc.)


Information we collect


For the purposes of this Policy, the term "personal information" means any information about an individual that identifies the individual, such as their name, street address, e-mail address and telephone number. Here are types of personal information we can collect about you:


  • Your name and language of correspondence
  • Your contact information, such as phone number, physical address and email;
  • Information about the payment method used (including your credit card number, due date and CVV code)


Note that Tixigo does not receive or store credit card information. Only the online payment processor obtains this information to ensure a high level of security. The payment processor (www.stripe.com) is PCI Level 1 accredited. Tixigo only receives payment confirmation and the last four digits of your credit card for identification purposes.


  • The IP address used to make an online purchase as well as the information on the web browser used;


The IP address allows us to get the location where you place your order (very broad, simply the region or city).

The browser helps us to better test our product and better target our efforts.

 

Use and communication of your information


We share your personal information with the merchant with whom you have traded on the Tixigo platform. The latter is responsible for their own confidentiality policy.


We use (without disclosing to a third party) your personal information primarily:


  • To establish and confirm your identity;
  • To answer your requests for information and manage your customer account;
  • To control the quality of customer service and prevent fraud;
  • For any other purposes permitted or required by law;
  • For marketing, market analysis and survey purposes


Security of your personal information


We have implemented a combination of physical, organizational and technological means to ensure the confidentiality of the personal information we hold, and we protect it against loss or theft and to prevent access, transmission, reproduction, unauthorized use or modification of these. Tixigo employees will have access to your information.


When we disclose personal information to a third party, we take the necessary security measures to ensure that the commitments and rules mentioned in this Policy are respected by this third party.

The personal information you provide to us is hosted on computer servers located in Quebec. Access to your personal information will therefore be subject to the jurisdiction of local laws and courts.

Right of access, rectification and withdrawal of your personal information.


Upon written request and subject to proof of identification, you may consult the personal information that we have collected, used or disclosed, as permitted or required by law. Access to the personal information contained in your file and the rectification of it are free. A small fee may be required after notice from us, to cover the costs of processing these requests (for example, the cost of photocopying). If you do not provide the required personal information, we will not be able to establish a customer account so that you can conduct an online transaction. If you wish to delete an existing customer account, you must contact us by email.


In order to demand the complete destruction of all your personal data, you must send an email to [email protected] to make the request. We will verify your identity before destroying the data.


Use of cookies and other technologies to gather information


We collect information from your browser when you visit our website including your IP address, the type and language of your browser, the hours of access, the content of any cookies not deleted that your browser has already accepted from us and the addresses of the websites that directed you to our website.


When you visit our website, we may assign your computer a "cookie" (a small unique text file identifier) or a series of cookies to facilitate access to our site and personalize your online experience. This cookie allows us to collect information about your online activities on our site, such as the web pages you visit, the links you click and the searches you perform on our site. For security purposes, we encrypt all usernames, passwords, and other user account related data that we store in these cookies. You can change your browser settings to reject them; however, in this case, you may not be able to log on to our website or use some of its features.


We may also use pixel tags, web beacons, spies, or other similar technologies to track your use of our site or emails.


A pixel-spy is a small file placed on an Internet page that allows a website to perform certain tasks, including counting the users who viewed that page, or to access cookies. The information we obtain in this way allows us to tailor the services we provide to visitors to our website to deliver targeted ads and measure the overall effectiveness of our online advertising or other activities.
